Why Join Hagen Group:

Hagen Group is a trusted, family-run business with over 70 years of experience, founded in 1955 in Montreal. With U.S. operations headquartered in Mansfield, Massachusetts, and a global presence, we’re known for our commitment to innovation, quality, and improving the lives of pets and the people who love them.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of your territory while representing a broad portfolio of trusted brands, including Catit, Fluval, Exo Terra, Marina, Hari, BIONIC, and more.

How You’ll Be Contributing:

  • Present Hagen products and solutions in a way that clearly communicates their value to retailers and consumers.
  • Execute new product launches, promotions, displays, planograms, signage, and other in-store initiatives.
  • Improve product availability, shelf presence, pricing accuracy, merchandising, and overall brand presentation.
  • Educate and train retail associates on our products, categories, and consumer recommendations.
  • Partner with distributor representatives on joint calls, retailer opportunities, trade shows, and local market activities.
  • Monitor competitive activity, retailer feedback, and emerging opportunities and share insights with Sales leadership.
  • Use sales data, account history, and market observations to prioritize opportunities and build effective action plans.
  • Maintain accurate customer, activity, opportunity, and pipeline information in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Operations, and distributor partners to solve customer needs and deliver a strong experience.
  • Manage samples, displays, selling materials, travel, and company expenses responsibly and in line with company policies.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in field sales, territory management, account management, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • A proven ability to prospect, build relationships, influence purchasing decisions, and close new business.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Confidence working independently and managing a large geographic territory.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, sales reporting, and basic business analytics.
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel regularly throughout the territory.
  • The ability to work effectively from a home-based environment while staying connected and accountable to the broader team.
  • Experience in the pet industry, consumer packaged goods, specialty retail, or distribution is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of independent pet retail and distributor-based selling is a plus.
  • A genuine interest in pets, pet care, and helping independent retailers grow their businesses.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Animal Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

What Success Looks Like:

You become a trusted partner to customers throughout your territory. You consistently create new business, expand productive distribution, strengthen Hagen’s presence at store level, and follow through on commitments.
